So here's the thing...
I've noticed two inexplicable trends in the internet gun world. One is that people seem to think that the Hi-Point pistols were designed as an unholy tribute to the gods of ugly. The second is that the 1911 style is the righteous and divine beauty of heaven forged into a pistol.
Seriously, I'm surprised I can't seem to find any ACTUAL porn sites for 1911 pistols. I don't really care if any given person thinks 1911's look great or Hi-Points look crappy. I don't even care if MOST people feel that way. But there is real PASSION over these things. The internet can't seem to allow itself to say anything positive about a Hi-Point unless it IMMEDIATELY follows up with a "but their ugly as sin! AMIRIGHT?! HUH?! YEAH?!". And I can almost hear the orgasm happening when people talk about their 1911's. It just disturbs me when a trend becomes "groupthink". Hate or love your tools for your own reasons, not because you feel self conscious about people thinking you are uneducated simply because you actually find Hi-Points to be attractive, and maybe think the 1911's look outdated.
