So... here's the thing...

I became survivalist minded and started looking up methods and means and quickly figured out that a large portion of the "prepper" population was composed of POTENTLY anti-liberal types.  I just wanted to see a discussion on what materials were important, techniques, etc.  What I got was a lot of :

"DAMN LIBERALS ARE DESTROYING THE WORLD AND TAKING OUR GUNS AND BELIEVE THE GOVERNMENT WORKS LIKE A MAGIC TOOTH FAIRY AND WILL GIVE THEM EVERYTHING THEY NEED! BLAAAAARGH!"

Occasionally a liberal survivalist would retaliate thusly: 

"DAMN CONSERVATIVES ARE DESTROYING THE WORLD AND GIVING CRIMINALS GUNS AND BELIEVE THAT GOD WORKS LIKE A MAGIC TOOTH FAIRY AND WILL GIVE THEM EVERYTHING THEY NEED! BLAAAAARGH!"

Then, thankfully you'd get someone who would pipe up with a 

"PIPE DOWN YOU'RE BOTH IDIOTS!

Also: 

BLAAAAARGH!"

So I am starting this blog for the third group.  Actually no.  I'm starting this blog for everyone of every belief who can maintain a basic adult level of self-censorship, decency, common courtesy, and mutual respect that wants to share and learn more about S.H.T.F. (shit hits the fan) techniques.  I will do blog posts, I will also do pages dedicated to certain specific topics like basic kit construction and that sort of thing for easy go-to reference.  I will welcome discussion and suggestion and will incorporate what is learned into the aforementioned pages as well as follow-up blog posts.  I intend this to be somewhat of an open forum for discussion.

EXCEPT:

If you are incapable of refraining from gross insult and divisive speech, then this forum is not open to you.  You are not welcome.  I don't want you here.  The rest of us don't want you here.  You may look but you may not touch.  I seriously despise that you would spew your corrosive thought-vomit on our otherwise happy forum floor.
